Content Coordinator

Job Description 

Burstyn Inc. is looking for a Content Coordinator who will contribute to the growth and development of Burstyn Inc.’s content marketing team. You will bring a critical and collaborative eye to Burstyn Inc.’s content production and creation as a team player who encourages and collaborates with the best of our marketing and creative departments. The successful candidate is a resourceful self-starter, you know how to make things happen and can see things through from idea to execution. You are obsessed with creating content, in fact, you are a content creator yourself and thrive in telling and sharing stories. You understand the nitty-gritty that goes into creating content, are cognizant of narrative and user experience as well as design, and a stickler when it comes to conventions of style and grammar.


Duties and Responsibilities 

Client management & content planning support 

  • Assist Communications team with casting, outreach, production and coordination of content

  • Oversee editorial and owned channel content coordination from conception through to publishing, ensuring assets are on time and complete from all involved parties, externally and internally

  • Copywriting and editing communications materials including press releases, newsletters and marketing materials

  • Copywriting and editing for copy flow and user experience, looking at grammar, spelling, storytelling and experience

  • Upload and build content in CMS with guidance from creative team and Communications Director

  • Own select editorial stories and storytelling opportunities and social media channels from beginning to end

  • Manage external relationships and correspondence with content creators, writers, photographers, influencers and talent

  • Executes communications strategies ensuring assets are on time and complete from all involved parties, externally and internally.

Agency support 

  • Works collaboratively in a team environment 

  • Successfully multi-tasks on several projects

  • Communicates regularly, promptly and calmly 

  • Respectfully takes direction from supervisors and managers 

  • Maintains and updates existing media lists

  • Assists with Burstyn Inc. branded materials (ex. Packaging, mailing etc.), as well as gifting initiatives

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university in communications or english major; or one to two years related experience

  • Superior organization and coordination skills with the ability to bring many different types of creators and strategists together

  • Strong written and verbal skills

  • Experience working in a CMS and in the backend of Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, TikTok and Twitter, as well as social media management tools

  • A desire to tell and create a story both independently and with a team.
